Activities in Güéjar Sierra, Sierra Nevada

Güéjar Sierra is a great base for all types of mountain sports and activites due to its location in the Sierra Nevada National Park. From the town centre you can go hiking, biking and sport climbing.

Just outside of the town, you can find swimming holes in the river Genil, go to Canales lake where you can practice canoeing or go horse-riding in the mountains.

A short drive away you can find paragliding take-offs, the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort, river courses to go canyoning, and lots more. Güéjar Sierra is also only 80km from the beach, where you can go kitesurfing and other water sports.
